ポルシェを買うと決意したものの、そもそもどのモデルを買うんだ？

何年か前、今の愛車に乗り換える際に「マカン」を検討したこともありましたが、コンフィギュレーターでオプションを追加していくと軽く1000万円を超える金額となり、さすがにサラリーマンの僕が手を出せる金額ではないなと思い、その時はすぐに諦めました。
なのに今度はポルシェ911を買おうだと！？
何か臨時収入があったわけでもなく、ただ単に気持ちが変わっただけなのですが、真剣にポルシェ911を買おうと思っています。
話は僕が小さい頃（1980年代）へと遡りますが、その頃の輸入車といえば、ベンツ、BMW、フォルクスワーゲンや、それにアメ車を時々見かけるくらいで、なかなかポルシェやフェラーリを間近で見られる機会はありませんでした。
「スーパーカー消しゴム」が流行っていた世代でもあり、緑色や黄色のランボルギーニ・カウンタックの消しゴムを持っていたのを鮮明に記憶していて、そのせいもあってか僕の中のスーパーカー＝ランボルギーニ・カウンタックなのかもしれません。
そんなカウンタックと同じくらい記憶に残っているのが「ポルシェ930ターボ」で、あのグラマラスなボディーと、巨大なリアウイングは子どもの目からしてもいかにも速そうな車で、分かりやすく「サ・スーパーカー」だったのだと思います。

小学生の頃から車雑誌を読み漁っていて、街を走る車の名前はほぼ100％答えられるような子どもで、家族で車に乗って出かけると、窓の外を見ながら通り過ぎる車の名前をひたすら言い続けていました。
